Qatar begins operations in patent appeal

Quatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced that the Grievance Committee for Patent Appeals has commenced its operation and has begun accepting appeal applications as of February 4, 2024. In case of unfavourable decisions (refusals) of patent applications, applicants can appeal such decisions before the said Committee within 15 days from the date of receiving the Patent Office decision according to article 7 of law no. 30/2006.
