Libya Introduces New Measures for Trademark Registration

TRIPOLI – The Ministry of Economy in Libya has recently implemented new measures to expedite the trademark registration process, in light of the country's new trademark law.

The main changes include:

- A legalized PoA from the Libyan Consulate in the applicant’s home country, valid for one year.

- All assignment documents should be in original form and legalized.

- A copy of the applicant’s commercial registry or what could be an equivalent document for the same, with a validity term of one year. Read more
