In brief
The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) is piloting an avenue for interested parties to provide suggestions for descriptions of goods and services to be added into IPOS' classification database ("Database"). The deadline for interested parties to make submissions via the IPOS form has been extended to 30 June 2024. IPOS has also published a preliminary report on descriptions that have been accepted and added to the Database, providing brand owners with a good indication of what may be accepted.
