Legislative Plans to be Completed by the End of 2022, Further Implementing Opinions on Strengthening IP Protection in China

Recently, China National Intellectual Property Administration(CNIPA)  has issued the plan to further implement the opinions on strengthening intellectual property protection. According to the plan, CNIPA will complete the following legislative plans by the end of 2022:

1) The Implementation Rules of the Patent Law and the Guidelines for Patent Examination shall be revised;

2) The revised draft of the Regulations on the Protection of New Plant Varieties shall be completed;

3)  The Regulations on the Protection of Traditional Chinese Medicine Knowledge shall be formulated;

4) Provisions on Regulating Patent Application shall be revised;

5) The Opinions of the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Comprehensively Strengthening the Intellectual Property Inspection in the New Era shall be formulated;

6) The management measures for cross regional law enforcement linkage and cooperation of comprehensive law enforcement in the cultural market shall be studied and be formulated;

7)  The Guidelines for Intellectual Property Protection of Cross border E-Commerce shall be formulated;

8) The Guidelines for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Exhibitions shall be formulated.
