DUBAI – The Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates held a workshop on September 13, 2022 briefing on the regulations of the new Patents and Industrial Designs Law, which forms part of the largest legislative amendments in the UAE’s history. The Ministry confirmed that all the required documents related to patent and industrial design applications such as Power of Attorney, Deed of Assignment and Certificate of Incorporation are no longer required to be legalized by the Consulate of the UAE, while the notarization of the same will be sufficient.
