Rospatent introduces additional fees for issuing paper documents

In order to encourage applicants to conduct all office work with Rospatent in electronic form, the Russian Patent Office has made changes to the amount of fees in relation to actions with trademarks and patents.

On June 17, 2021, the Russian government amended the regulation on the amount of patents and other fees.

From now on, Rospatent will by default issue documents on the registration of trademarks, patents for inventions, utility models, and industrial designs in electronic form.

If the applicant wishes to receive a copy of the certificate in paper form, it will be necessary to submit an additional application and pay a fee of 2000 rubles ($27). Continue Reading
